Greece, my first contact with the islands
It was Easter and Greece was one of my first destinations in Europe along with the island of Crete. It was interesting to see the Acropolis so close. I remembered when I went to school that I had a teacher from Valladolid of Art History, Ms. Pilo, one of the strictest teachers I’ve ever had. I remember that she put us in a dark room to comment on art slides (painting, sculpture, architecture). Whoever made a mistake gave her a ZERO and I remember that it was with her that I collected more zeros in all my studies.
The trip was very cultural visiting the Peloponnese. I still remember the magnificent sunset at the temple of Poseidon at Cape Sunion.
Regarding Crete, I found it very authentic, surprising the unfinished brick houses. I ended up on the not-so-touristy islands in those years like Santorini and Mikonos.
