Cape Verde, turn of the century
Yes, in Cape Verde it was where I celebrate the New Year during the turn of the century. I was pleasantly surprised by this country, so close to the Canary Islands and, nevertheless, so different and diverse. From the climbing to ‘Pico do Fogo’, to the green landscapes of Santo Antão, besides Boa Vista’s white sand beaches in delicate contrast with the sand of desert dunes, and Cesária Évora’s music, now deceased.
