Island of Siau, with its active volcano
On the island of Siau about 130 km in the extreme north of Sulawesi, in the Celebes Sea and the Philippines is the stratum volcano, Karangetang (also known as Api Siau), of 1,827 m of altitude, which contains five craters in the top. It has become an emblem of this island, and it is one of the most active volcanoes in Indonesia of the 127 that there are.
The island is very underdeveloped, which is the main attraction for me, however it offers others such as white sand beaches, ocean life, an active volcano, hot springs and excellent seafood.
