My third trip to India did not leave me indifferent. This time I chose the state of Odisha,<\/strong> formerly Orissa, a holiday destination very estimated by the Indians. The Tropic, with its singular beaches, explodes into hundreds of colours and fragrances that flood this world mostly rural.<\/p>\nThe capital, Bhubaneshwar<\/strong>, is known as the \u201cCity of Temples\u201d by being dotted with \u00a0300 religious buildings, most of them dedicated to the god Shiva.<\/strong><\/p>\nThe city of Puri is one of the most sacred pilgrimage centres in the country<\/strong>. Situated next to the coast of the Bay of Bengal is lush and tropical. The richness of the architecture of its temples is considered of unique beauty as it can be appreciated in the temple of Konark<\/strong>.<\/p>\nIn contrast, Kolkata<\/strong>, formerly known as Calcutta, is an enormous and noisy city with fifteen million people<\/strong>, the second largest Indian city. It is an amazing city that mixes extreme poverty with luxury.<\/strong> Away from the principal tourist circuits, it continues to be unknown to the public, although it has held a reputation of cultural and intellectual city.<\/p>\nA trip to India is more than a tourist trip; it is a trip that makes you reflect and allows seeing clearly what is really important.<\/p>\n
