In the Indian city of Allahabad, every twelve years<\/strong>, millions of Hindus of all castes, social classes, doctrines and sects come to take part in the greatest immersion and healing ritual of India, the Maha Kumbh Mela.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Allahabad lies at the confluence of the two sacred rivers of India: the Ganges and the Yamuna<\/strong>, apart from the mythical and invisible river of wisdom, the Sarasvati. The Sangam<\/em> is the sacred place where the three rivers meet and where the faithful are released from their sins and pray to escape the cycle of reincarnation.<\/p>\n

The Maha Kumbh Mela sees more than 100 million pilgrims during 44 days, becoming the largest human agglomeration known in history.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For me, it was seven very tough days<\/strong> on which the heat, poor nutrition, noises, dust and sanitary conditions did not surpass all the experiences that I lived in the great festival of Hinduism.<\/p>\n
