It is the only international competition that awards the best books published in the course of the year of food and drink.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I travel, I never miss visiting the traditional markets of the countries I visit because it is there where I discover the life of the locals. In this book, the <\/span>reader <\/strong>would be able to get to <\/span>know<\/strong> in detail <\/span>the smells, colours, rituals and customs<\/strong> that characterize the markets around the world.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The book is organized into three sections:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n This section shows the places where markets are located<\/strong>: roadsides, rivers, suburbs, squares. The physical space is not important, although over time it acquires its own personality, and is established, since ancient times, in the same place.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_2″][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.0.66″]<\/p>\n The content of this second chapter is dominated by people who go to the market<\/strong> with the excuse of buying and selling, using the opportunity to bond with each other, visiting friends or escaping from arduous agricultural tasks.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.0.66″]<\/p>\n The last part shows the main products<\/strong> subject of trade from the most basic (corn, rice, meats, fish, etc.) to more elaborate ones (clothes, hats, etc.) with images of the specific process of production in each case, such as rice fields, corn fields and the fishermen in their natural environment. Photographer too, but fundamentally he recognizes himself better in the art of covering many miles with eyes wide open. More than twenty years carrying a backpack and a passport with stamps from more than 100 countries give a certificate of authenticity to his self-portrait. He never forgets the camera at home.
